Centre Pompidou
In 2007, Mambo joined forces with 9th Concept Collective to build a live painting show at Centre Pompidou in Paris. The event took place at the entrance of the Museum, on the 1st floor, where artists installed their studios for 3 full months, 6 days a week and produced dozens of artworks in front of the audience. The show received a huge success as it changed every day and got both the audience and the press excited about it: artworks were constantly in progress and the exhibition rooms was changing its installations every week. It’s been a major enhancer for Mambo’s evolution as an artist: this is where he started his famous Brainology series. At the bottom of this page you’ll see an interpretation of a Jean Dubuffet piece that Mambo did at the Museum’s request, to create a children’s program out of it.
